Eleanor Schain Ltd. has specialized in women evening gowns and ready-to-wear designer pieces for 50 years. Eleanor, the family's matriarch, started the business in the basement of her Brooklyn home as way to make a life for her 2 young daughters. She didn't know it then, but what Eleanor started was much more than a business - it was a community. The store became a place for women to come together, to make friends, to gossip and to shop! The store grew with the community - dressing women for all life-stages (from their bat-mitzvahs to communions, sweet sixteens to proms, weddings, etc.) and again when it was their children's turn for these same life milestones.

In the early 2000's, Eleanor retired to the 6th borough of NYC (Florida), and Bonnie and Andrea (Eleanor's daughters) started the 2nd generation of Eleanor Schain Ltd. The store continues to evolve with the passing of each season: from low-rise jeans to high-rise jeans to athleisure leggings, from Cinderella ballgowns to tight body-con dresses to bar mitzvah dresses - you name it, we've seen it, we've dressed it all!
